No Such Thing As Stupid Questions. Only Stupid People

There has ALWAYS been fake news. Way before Donald Trump. I remember reading books by Neil Postman like “Amusing Ourselves To Death” and “How To Watch TV News,” that warned of the b.s. in mainstream media.

I have even been the subject of fake news when interviewed for articles in the local paper. They change my quotes, leave out crucial information, and sometimes even completely make things up about me. There is no retraction. And that’s just for promoting a silly comedy night that week. Imagine when the journalist or publication has a legit agenda to push.

With most of these interviews, it’s obvious if it’s a fake journalist at work, because they have no intelligent questions. They certainly don’t listen to the answers. It’s just one stupid question after another.
