Sometimes you don’t want surprises when you’re a traveling road comic. You know, maybe you’ve already had plenty of surprises that day.

The fucking car broke down, you got a flat tire on the way to the gig, or got stuck in traffic. Or had to dodge some other bullets, because there’s any number of things that can go wrong when you’re traveling the country doing comedy on the road. So sometimes the last thing you want is something surprising.

But that said, that a lot of times that is what makes it a unique adventure. That is the thing that keeps it exciting.  All the little surprises.
